Encounter Church is seeking to make an impact on the world around us - whether here in Jackson, around the U.S. or around the world. We want everyone everywhere to learn about the amazing life they can have through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through various events and outreaches and supporting our partners all over the globe, we are doing our best to reach people locally, nationally and globally.

  • gaweylon radio

As a part of Advancing Native Missions, Good News for Tibet Radio brings the Gospel to one of the most difficult to reach people groups in the world: Tibetans. GNTR broadcasts high-quality radio programs in Tibetan, featuring a mixture of Tibetan culture and history, health issues, native folklore, and the Gospel. Because Tibetans have a 35% literacy rate, this has been an effective way to reach this people group with the Gospel.

  • Youth haven

The ministry of Youth Haven is committed to meeting the needs of less fortunate boys and girls in a camp setting. They strive to create a safe and fun environment, with week-long summer camps and weekend cap sessions throughout the school year, where these boys and girls can get away from negative distractions and difficult home circumstances. They are shown the love of Christ, taught Biblical principles, and provided with steady, positive influences.

Following the camping experience, concentrated effort is made to stay in touch with the children through follow-up letters, kids' newsletters, and birthday cards. There are also weekly Kids' Klub programs in low-income housing community centers.
