Worship Volunteer Positions: Lighting Operator: Create and run lighting scenes to enhance worship services at Encounter. A good eye for aesthetics is helpful. Training provided. Time requirements are Wednesday evening rehearsal and Sunday morning on the weeks you are scheduled.
Sound Board Operator: Mix audio for worship services at Encounter. Must have a good ear for music and audio quality. Training provided. Time requirements are Wednesday evening rehearsal and Sunday morning on the weeks you are scheduled.
Musicians: Musicians to be a part of our contemporary worship band. Main instruments desired are: Drums, Keyboards, guitar, & bass. Experience with contemporary music and playing in a band setting preferred but not necessarily required. Time requirements are Wednesday evening rehearsal and Sunday morning on the weeks you are scheduled.
Vocalists: Singers to be a part of leading worship from the stage. Strong vocal skills required, should be able to carry a melody well and sing basic harmony parts. Confident stage presence and a good comfort level with being expressional in worship in front of others preferred. Time requirements are Wednesday evening rehearsal and Sunday morning on the weeks you are scheduled.
Hospitality Volunteer Positions: Door Greeters: Greet at the main doors from 8:45 -11:15 on the Sundays you are scheduled. A willingness to smile and bring a smile to others' faces is all you need for this position.
Hospitality Hosts: Help set up coffee, drinks, food and clean up before and after service approx 8AM- 12:00 PM on the Sundays you are scheduled.
COVID Coordinators: Looking for 2 or 3 people to rotate this position on Sunday mornings. This person will check with children's ministry check in's to ensure that all COVID policies are being followed and will report to the Hospitality Director at the end of service with all paperwork. (Make sure all children have been temp checked, filters are running and cleaning crew has cleaned.)
Other Volunteer Positions: Food Pantry Director: Seeking someone with a servant's heart to lead our food pantry ministry and team. This individual must be organized and passionate about loving others. Some of the responsibilities include being willing to schedule and manage volunteers for this ministry as well as place and coordinate orders. Our food pantry is open every Thursday from 10AM - 12PM and is currently being run in a drive thru format.
Blood Drive Coordinator: Looking for someone to take the lead on coordinating blood drives at Encounter. This individual will work with our Red Cross contact and their website to make sure blood drives are scheduled and run smoothly. Blood drives typically take place every 2 months at this time.

Be Cool & Get Ready for School Saturday, August 22nd stop by our drive through event from 3-5PM (come when you can). Bring water balloons or water guns to battle with Pastor Vanessa. We have a small school gift pack for you and want to pray over your family in your car.
Volunteer Meet & Greet Saturday, August 22nd from 6-7PM, come meet (or catch up with if you already know & love her) Pastor Vanessa and hear about her vision for eKids while enjoying ice cream.
Pizza After Service Stay after the 11AM service on August 23rd to have pizza and get to know Pastor Vanessa outside by the picnic tables!

Thank you to everyone who donated at our last blood drive. We filled all of the available appointments and had more donors willing to come!! 30 units of blood were donated to help fill the need for blood. You can now begin scheduling appointments to give at our next drive on September 21st. Click here to be taken to the Red Cross website (you will need to scroll down to find our location).
Food pantry patrons are able to come as many Thursdays as they need instead of just once a month. Please help us spread the word to the community!
The Encounter It AA Group that meets in our building has added more in person meetings. These meetings are limited to 10 people and masks are required at this time.
